Raffia & Sanibel

Raffia is 100% silk and looks similar to paper Raffia, but is more shiny. One favorite use is as a surface woven basket on a crazy quilt or wool applique quilt. It also has many uses in needlepoint. Our packages contain 2 yards.

 

Sanibel is 100% Kid Goat Mohair that has NOT been brushed. Once you complete stitching you can brush your stitched work for the amount of mohair 'halo' you want. We suggest using this for sweaters, animals and combined with other fibers for interest in needlepoint. Embroidery and wool applique are other applications where this thread shines. Skein yardage is 25 yards. Purchase enough of one dye lot to complete your project.
