FIBERS

We dye only the finest natural fibers -- silk, silk and wool blends, and linen. Silk is one of finest stitching fibers available, combining strength with a lustrous sheen. Our silk and wool blends are soft as a child’s cheek, never scratchy. About linen the Swedish have a proverb: "Wool becomes dust, linen becomes gold."

Our fibers are hand-dyed and subtle differences occur naturally between dye lots. Please keep this in mind when calculating how much thread to purchase for a project. It is better to have a little excess at the finish of your project than to come up short with crucial sections remaining. Dye lot differences are especially visible in large areas of stitches of the same color.

We also do not recommend washing our threads. We use quality dyes and follow textile industry standards for setting the colors in our fibers; but cannot guarantee their wash or color fastness.
